It’ t Christmas 2016— prime gift-giving time of year. As many in the retail industry expected, millions of people are unwrapping a Vive, Rift, PlayStation VR, or a few other virtual reality device. I imagine lots of people, when faced with this unusual apparatus, responded as my grandfather do when I gave him his very first experience of virtual reality in 2014: “ What am I supposed to do using this? ” Then they do what we all do nowadays whenever we have a question— they asked Search engines. According to Google Trends, the use of the particular search term “ VR Content” tripled between December 23 and Dec 26, 2016.
