FRESNO, Calif. — A team of seventh- and eighth-grade girls sitting around a lunch table discussing a brand new game-like app they use in school. Danna Rodriguez somewhat sullenly said the lady didn’ t want to care about Advances, which tracks points students gain for attendance, grade-point average and taking advantage of the app itself, among other things. Yet she can’ t help their self. She does care.
