Whenever we have to give a talk to a group of people, we all feel anxious and experience the physical fear responses that do not seem sensible now: The system is not meant to functionality in this safe context. The foods we eat We evolved in a context associated with scarcity, and had to walk or even run for miles and rove to find food; we had to work for this. When we ate, we did not understand when the next time would be. When we got it, we were better off eating the particular high-calorie food that increased our own chance of survival when hungry (greasy food feels appealing). Food had not been quick to digest, stomachs furthermore had to work hard for it: meat, fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. Nothing of these contained “easy” sugary calories .
